• Decedent's estate claimed investment bank engaged in financial dependent abuse when they knew/ should have known decedent was the victim of a scam. The interpretation of the applicable provisions in the Welfare and Institutions Code were vigorously contested as was the conduct of the investment advisors. Settled.
